Monthly Village Lunch

Once a month, on the third Thursday, a team of volunteers gets together to cook and serve lunch in the Village Hall. Soup and Sandwich lunches alternate with cooked meals. In July we have a Buffet and in August we have a BBQ. December is always a Traditional Christmas Lunch.

Lunch service is at 12.15pm.

Soup and Sandwich – £5 per head / Cooked Meal – £7 per head.

For Soup and Sandwich, you’ll need to choose your sandwich and soup in advance.

Snowdrop Sundays

Teas, homemade cakes and light lunches in the Village Hall from 11.00am until 4.00pm each Sunday.

Profits to various local groups.

Free 45 minute concert in St Peter’s Church (5 minute walk from the Village Hall) at 2.30pm each Sunday. Retiring collection towards the upkeep of St Peter’s church.


Benington Flower Festival & Open Gardens

Sunday 28 June 2026

Visit St Peter’s Church (free entry, donations welcome) to see flower displays and try the quiz to identify the themes.

​Work your way round the several private gardens which are open for viewing, including Benington Lordship. Buy your Garden ticket which covers entry to all the gardens which are open.

Teas, homemade cakes and light lunches are sold in the Village Hall from 12noon until 5.00pm each day.

There is an information point on the village green where you can buy garden tickets and maps of the garden locations. Both cash and card payments are accepted.

​Profits from the Flower Festival and Open Gardens go towards the upkeep of St Peter’s church.


Village Fair

Saturday 11 July 2026

​There are stalls, sideshows, entertainers, bar, food, teas and cakes on the village green.

All the proceeds of Benington Fair go to village groups and charities.

The Fair takes place from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and is followed by a BBQ/Picnic with music in the grounds of Benington Lordship until 11:00pm.
